Disclosure

This is my blog, and it’s a reflection of what I consider useful, interesting, or helpful. Unfortunately, we live in a litigious world and the FTC feels that bloggers should be more transparent about influences. So because of that, I now have a Disclosure page to go along with the Privacy page and the Terms of Service page.

It’s funny, I used to think that people were adults who thought before acting and took responsibility for what they do, but too many are perfectly willing to accept a benefit but want to blame someone if something goes against them.

While I do, and will continue to, strive to provide the best and most accurate information that I can, I may be wrong. If I say something that seems like it might be useful, don’t just accept it as gospel. Think about it. See if it fits your situation. Only use it if it seems to be a good idea to you because I can’t guarantee it’s going to work for you. If you want a guarantee, contact me, we’ll negotiate a price for a consulting contract, and I will be glad to sell you my opinion if you believe that it is cost effective.

This side does not accept any paid topic insertions.

This site does not have any directly paid advertising. If it did, it would look like an ad.

Some third party advertising, Google ads for example, might be present. While I will try to identify them as ads, they might not be due to technical reasons, aesthetics, or because I forgot or haven’t gotten to it yet.

Though no one has offered me any, I would accept and keep free products, services, travel, event tickets, or other gifts or compensation. However, if I write about it, it will still be my opinion of the product. While I’ll do my best to not be influenced by anything received, however, in the interest of full disclosure, protecting myself, and acknowledging that I am a human and not infallible, I will say compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog.

You should also make the assumption that any link on this site might be an affiliate link or in some manner generate a referral fee or commission paid to me. If I ‘recommend’ crap, then eventually no one is going to believe what I say so it’s in my best interest to give good opinions. Again though, going back to the idea of full disclosure, protecting myself, and being human, this blog contains content which might present a conflict of interest. This content will usually be identified but might not be.

If you have any questions on this policy, please use the contact form and I’ll reply as soon as I can.

Don’t believe everything you read. Think. Decide. Act or not based on whether you think it’s a good idea or not. You are the only one responsible for what you do and the results from that.
